The Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU) held a Graduation Ceremony for First Period of Academic Year 2024/2025 with a solemn atmosphere in Prof. Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Hall. The event was attended by the Faculty Advisory Council, the Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programs, lecturers and academic staff, and graduates whose families accompanied them.
In his remarks, the Dean of FEB USU, Dr. Fadli, SE, M.Si., congratulated the graduates who had completed their studies brilliantly. A total of 317 students successfully graduated, consisting of 270 undergraduate graduates, 41 master's graduates, and six doctoral graduates. The Dean also highlighted the importance of adaptability and innovation in facing challenges in globalization and digitalization. He emphasized that success is seen in academic achievements, contributions to society, and integrity in work.
This judicium was also marked by the announcement of the best graduates. Among them are Sonya Marta from the undergraduate accounting study program with a GPA of 3.93, Gilang Panca Putra from the undergraduate economic development study program with a GPA of 3.9, and Mutia Rezki Elzahra from the undergraduate in management study program with a GPA of 3.88. The 80 cum laude graduates also received special awards as a form of appreciation for their academic achievements.
The event was lively, with various activities, from reading the judicial Decree, slinging of sashes to representatives of outstanding graduates, and a group photo session. In his speech, the Dean of FEB USU invited graduates to maintain a relationship with the faculty through alumni programs supporting skill development and industry connections.
With great hope, FEB USU released the graduates to pursue a brilliant career and life. "Today is the beginning of a new journey. Be a person who brings pride to yourself, your family, and your alma mater," the Dean said before closing the event.
FEB USU graduates will continue contributing to building the nation and becoming societal role models.
